Wakala

An agency contract where one party (the principal) authorises another (the agent) to act on their behalf, typically for a fee.
Used extensively in Islamic asset management — investors appoint a fund manager as wakil for a fixed or performance-based fee.
Wakala sukuk represent investor ownership of an underlying pool managed by an agent for the certificate holders.
