Overview

Riba al-nasi'ah (time-based interest on debt) covers overnight forex swaps, margin financing, conventional bond yields, crypto lending APY, and perpetual funding rates. Riba al-fadl (unequal same-commodity exchanges) governs gold-for-gold and currency-for-same-currency trades. Both are absolutely prohibited.
